Named after the eldest son of George V and Queen Mary, the Duke of Windsor this 62.5 carat pear shape was described as a fine quality diamond of African origin. Imported into the USA it was sold to a New York banker in 1901. It was subsequently mounted on a collier together with a big oval, another pear-shaped diamond together with 39 smaller diamonds.
The present whereabouts is unknown.
